Classroom Expectations

Listening Bodies- When you are listening you will be sitting still, with your eyes on the speaker.
Raised Hands- Raising your hand is best! If all 26 students are shouting I cannot hear anyone.
Quiet Mouths- When your mouth is quiet, you can hear the instructions. Your chances of success are greater when you can hear the instructions.
Walking Feet- Walk instead of run! If all 26 students are running everyone will run into each other.
Caring Hearts- Use kind words! No one likes it when someone is mean to them, so don't be mean!

When entering my classroom they need to put their backpacks away, sharpen their pencils, get their books ready and begin working on the Board Work. Board Work might be vocabulary words, a rhyme, mad libs or an action. BE READY TO LEARN!

It is expected that they use the restroom before class. Each student will receive a laminated coin at the beginning of the month. If they need to use the restroom during class they can “buy” a trip to the restroom. If they still have their coin(s) at the end of the semester they can “buy” a reward from the reward chart.
